Bruce Ingalls commented on LOG4PHP-174:
---------------------------------------

@Ivan:
I just tested the example with Google Chrome's
ChromePHP
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/noaneddfkdjfnfdakjjmocngnfkfehhd
FeverPHP
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/noaneddfkdjfnfdakjjmocngnfkfehhd
Webug https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/noaneddfkdjfnfdakjjmocngnfkfehhd
Firebug Lite for Chrome
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/bmagokdooijbeehmkpknfglimnifench
None of these work.

I'd not tested Monolog. I likely left some bad @examples in the comments.

Opera is barely discussing firephp. For a good laugh, somebody combined the
highly improbable Opera Mini with FirePHP into a user agent:
http://www.botsvsbrowsers.com/details/255361/index.html

I emphasize the new version of FirePHP. I'd not tested the old version, and it
likely will not work well.
This will have been the widespread version that you get, when you search from
Firefox addons from within Firefox.
Instead, you must use the URIs provided here, or in the code comments.

The example alone should make configuration easy. I could add download links.
Feel free to emphasize the security warnings, which make the example easy.
Perhaps a (new?) development-mode property in log4php.xml can force this issue.

Christoph seems to be co-ordinating the Wildfire protocol with Zend Framework.
You might find docs & examples there.

I dislike silent failures, especially in development. I reckon warnings, such
as 'missing FirePHP' could be logged to any other appenders?

> Firephp appender logs to Firebug console.

> I followed the guidelines at

> However, Jira does not seem to have a way to upload files, such as the
> Appender I'd like to donate to this project.
