Christoph Dorn commented on LOG4PHP-174: ---------------------------------------- @Bruce: I am open to offering alternative config solution to: define("INSIGHT_*", *) What is your suggestion? The key is that one is able to set it (and include firephp) during bootstrap phase of an application before application boots (to capture everything). Alternatively it could be configured as part of log4php but must gall back to existing configured Insight instance if already present. @Ivan: During a monolog integration attempt I suggested adding a $context argument to the logger API. They decided against it to keep it simple. I think an optional last $context argument to capture liva variable state for whatever variable you want makes sense. We could reference them in the log message using their $context['<name>'] and present a nice UI. This could be made to work initially in DeveloperCompanion and later [1] in FirePHP/FireConsole Extension.
