Mas a gente usa funções complexas naturalmente no eletromagnetismo (até pra evitar confusões, escrevemos j em vez de i, esta deixada para correntes). Numa das `derivações' possíveis da eq. de Schrödinger, esta vem da eq. de ondas eletromagnética.
