OI Adolfo.

Sim, é exatamente isso.  Somos poucos, somos profundamente técnicos, poucos
leem nossos artigos (menos ainda entendem...) e, como consequência, poucos
nos citam.  Logo, os fatores de impacto são menores.

Comunidades pequenas, extremamente técnicas ou herméticas, tendem a não ter
impacto no curto e médio prazo.  Isso se chama networking, e nossa área tem
um networking muito baixo.  E nada garante impacto no longo prazo, em
comunidade nenhuma, a não ser a ideia de estar trabalhando num problema
relevante.

Já vi lógicos muito bons mudarem de área por causa dessa falta de impacto.
 Um exemplo que me vem a mente agora é o Maarten de Rijke, aquele do livro
de Lógica Modal, que trabalha com internet hoje em dia.
