bruce--thank you for your message--it was prompted by the following email i had just sent, which was returned by the list for some formatting reason (i am unfortunately sending this from a pc)
if there is anything you or anyone can do to help me, i would be so grateful! I'M HAVING A DISASTER--I HAVE AN ADDRESSING PROBLEM ON MY HARD DISK (MAC7300), AND NOW I CAN'T BOOT EVEN WITH THE SYSTEM CD. I HAD ALREADY TRIED REBUILDING THE DESKTOP, REINSTALLING THE S/W, CLEAN INSTALL, ETC. ETC. DISK REPAIR WOULD GO ALL THE WAY UNTIL IT SAID REPAIRING, THEN IT WOULD STOP, WITH NO RESULT.
