That sounds more like either a logic board problem or a scsi hardware problem. You should _always_ be able to boot from the system CD. Try unplugging the HDD then booting. If it boots you have ahrdware problem with your HDD, if it still doesn't work then either you have a problem with both the HDD and CD or more likely the SCSI bis. Check your cable for frayed or broken wires and make sure the connection on the MB is good. -- Bruce Johnson University of Arizona College of Pharmacy Information Technology Group -- The LowEndMac list is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... 123Inkjets.com <http://lowendmac.com/ad/123inkjets.html> Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> LowEndMac list info: <http://lowendmac.com/lists/lowendmac.html> Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/lowendmac%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Macintosh?
