“manifesting as stagmation.” What a line! Stagmation? Is that
derived from stigmata? Meaning while we work on this blood will emanate from
our hands and feet? Yes indeed, this document could become an outreach product.
But truly it needs more time. I am not clear that the bored is riding herd on this one, or
on much of anything for that matter. Not meant as an insult, but as a statement
pointing to not enough time to get much done. Anyone thinking that there is
enough power to wield in such a way as to limit the actions of others has got
to be dreaming. Before you can control something you have to be well organized.
I don’t see that pretty much anywhere except maybe El Paso County. Generally we
are all to disorganized to be able to reign in anything, and this includes the
state board. If we create something and it gets the boot at the
convention, then we will have something to whine about. If we have nothing to
present, we have nothing to whine about. I am off to read the national platform and see if I can find
something specific that calls to me. paul -----Original
Message----- Yes, Thinking about
it, up to this moment, I am thinking that the platform committee should be a
perminit committee that operates all during the year and is handed of to
replacement members as things progress. The platform commitee
should operate with the candidates after the convention and keep improving the
platform based upon the anlysis of each election cycle. At
this point it's a shooting in the dark, there needs to be continuty and the
platform committee could be one of the factors that's leaving some of the leadership
vaccume in the LPCO. Does the bored wish to keep their humbs on the
whole activity of the LPCO or is the Platform committee offer some element of
competition that is lacking within the LPCO, manifesting as
stagmation. If that issue come out to be of that caliber,
then several thousnd extra could be produced and used as outreach
material. jal [|>] snip |
