Sorry, but I must protest this paragraph. I earned my current LPI 
certificate at a time (after Sep 2004) when LPI said it WILL be current 
for 10 years and thereafter it will be considered inactive (as opposed 
to no longer active).

That's what LPI told me when I passed it, and I *expect* LPI to honour 
that for the full 10 years. The market and changing conditions should 
be the sole factor to determine the current validity and 
appropriateness of the certificate I have for those 10 years, and I 
object in the strongest possible terms to a unilateral change from the 
testing body.

Change the terms for future certifications if you feel you must, but DO 
NOT CHANGE what was agreed on in the past.
