Actually, I was thinking that it's time for some grassroots education from
LPI alumni to HR departments.

I was thinking something along the following lines:

1. Set up a page which describes all of the active FOSS certifications out
there (eg. LPIC-*, RHC*, MySQL, ...). Not only the proper acronym but
   the reason for the cert.

Maybe make a pamphlet of it.

2. Get LPI supporters to take it to the HR departments. The sole intention
is to educate. Not state that XYZ is better than ABC.

3. Get the HR person(s) to send an e-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] telling us
   that so-and-so has educated them.

4. Thanks advocate somehow.

Part 4 I am kinda unclear on. Obviously, there is the potential for
hundreds, if not thousands, of e-mails. So how can we thank the Alumni
without breaking the bank? A special 'advocates' page? Or ???

What do people think of this idea? In North America, we seem to be stuck in
the 90s. People still ask me if I work for "Linux".

Regards,
