Then you will have to enlighten me, because I was under the impression
that you are defending exam 302 being a core exam.

Just to make it perfectly clear, I believe that Samba make a perfectly
good elective exam for LPIC-3, as it is really a specialization in Linux
administration, but a rather poor choice of "core" exam, as it is not
widely relevant (like security or networking would be).
