If you take the exams through CompTia, you will get a CompTia Linux+
certification. You can then ask LPI to also give you a LPI equivalent
(which is LPIC-1). And after you get LPIC-1, you can ask Novell to
give you the CLA certification.

If you get LPIC-1 by taking the LPIC-1 exams (101 and 102) through Vue
testing centers or LPI Partner centers, you just get the LPIC-1
certification. But based on that you can apply for the Novell CLA (you
miss out on the Linux+ one).

Not 100% sure of the process of getting that done, but it should be
something like that.

Honestly, I am just happy with the LPIC-1. I think it's the only one
that actually matters (to me at least).
