Thinking about Anselms reply I have to agree.

There is no wording of Ajax, but you want people to write node.js?

Why not focus on the client side and leave the server be?

Use https://jsonplaceholder.typicode.com/ and let them do some Ajax stuff.

And if you really have to include some serverside knowledge, tell them
at least about Django and php.
