Time to go find the unsubscribe button for another toxic Linux community. May the force be with you LPI!
Please, don't.Your disagreement with Ottavio Caruso, even if it was real and not the byproduct of a misunderstanding that is always easy in online, impersonal communication, is just that: a disagreement between two gentlemen. Let it rest like that. Please do not extend the toxicity you felt to the whole LPI community. For all the disagreements we've weathered in the past between individuals or even small groups of individuals (aka factions, or tribes :-), the community itself never felt toxic to those who participated - and I think even to those who did not and watched by the sidelines the stream of words and opinions flow like a short-lived flash flood. Sometimes strongly opinionated clashes of points-of-view produced some interesting and useful outcome. That I remember they never caused people to quit blaming the community to foster toxic exchanges or harbour malevolent individuals.
Then, I remember the precious piece of wisdom a friend of mine taught me a long time ago that proved useful over and over again in so many circumstances of my life: "In a group of three people, there is a 66% chance at least one of the individuals is an asshole. The chance becomes almost certainty with larger groups of individuals".
