OK. What does Debian ship with? The other distros?
It's my understanding that most of the distributions try to produce a core
OS -- the one most package for download -- that's all open source. Where
exceptions are made is usually in installation-related stuff that's
specific to the distribution and freely distributable if not open source
(SuSE's Yast, Caldera's LISA).
But is majordomo isn't open source, then who's shipping it as their
default MLM? Should they?
In any case, I'm inclined to find out what the most popular open source
MLM is and go with that. That's either listar or mailman, and I suspect
the latter is the more popular of the two.
