Hello,

Iam using Redhat 6.1 and 7.1 with print services configured through
printtool and printer is shared with Samba services.

Using Samba users map to the printer and print .For example Server A is
configured with print queue niagara and users map \\serverA\niagara and
print from their windows machine.

Iam interested to know whether the following can be done.

I would like to log the following

1. Name of the person printing
2. Name of the file
3. Size of the file
4. No of Pages printed
5. Time
6. Etc.

Is the above possible,if yes kindly help me out.

My idea is to have a Unix printing System throughout company and have
logs.Any Linux is ok for me.(freebsd/caldera/Debian)

Eagerly awaiting for reply.

Regards,

Sundar RS
