hi kara,

Is it possible to know what are the items already submitted for it might be a waste of time to submit items that are already done.

Hello Everyone,

I had submitted a public call for Item submission last week, but it seems
to have gotten lost. I'm really not sure what happened...

Anyhow, now I know why I haven't gotten a lot of response! :-)

We're in the last days of LPI Level 2 Item development preparing for
editing and moving onto beta exam development. I would like you to submit
your items directly to me ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) for any of the areas listed in
the attached list of objectives. We have initial items from our Item
Writing session in June. However, the following areas need extra items.
However, don't feel limited to these areas. ** Indicates areas that
*really* need more items.

        **DNS Objectives
        *Kernel Objectives
        *Hardware Objectives
        *Network Clients
        **General Networking
        **Security
        *System Maintenance
        *System Customization
        **Troubleshooting
        **Web Objectives

Please write the items based on our item writing guidelines (which I have
also attached). Items should be either multiple choice format or fill in
the blank. The item writing guidelines address issues with question style
and appropriate questions, but focus on the fact that we aren't writing a
trivia quiz or testing on command line options. Items should be written to
address a job scenario to test job skills (and not trivia knowledge) from
your experience as Level 2 System Administrators.

In the next weeks, LPI will have implemented a new on-line submission
format to submit items for all levels of LPI exams. Please keep your eyes
open for this new tool addition. However, due to tight time restrictions
we are moving forward with item collection manually.

Please email me your contributions to our Level 2 exams! Thank-you for
your support and participation! If you have any questions, please do not
hesitate to contact me.
