I have to gree with both sides of the argument
Just about all the server I look after run some version of the 2.2
kernel, but the main file store will have to move to a 2.4 in the very
near future. The 2GB file size limit is becoming a big problem for me
and 2.4 does fix that. Also, my understanding is that 2.6 will (should)
be fairly close in structure to the 2.4 series. Lastly, all future
enhancements will be either 2.4 or later, so a reasonable understanding
will be needed.
