Hmmm... That is a far reaching idea. It is important to consider our
refresh cycle. We may be faced with whatever we do now being outdated
when the tide changes and 2.4 becomes the preferred production-level
kernel. Since all the major distributions are shipping with 2.4 now
and we will not be done for xx? months. I am not following 2.5 issues
as of yet. I did not think it had begun. Either way, it is likely
to be far enough off that 2.4 will have it's run at being the
dominant kernel in production.
