And that's a very excellent thing. There are many people and institutions out 
there that would like to go with Red Hat but can't right now - usually for 
license cost reasons. Centos gives them a proving ground and an upgrade path 
to eventually get there.

I can only realistically do that for as long as I am certain that Johnny is 
using the exact same source RPMs that Red Hat uses and compiles them with the 
same settings.

It's a very nice (and very unique) symbiotic arrangement that has developed 
between Centos and RH. I think RH knows this very well, they just can't say so 
out loud.
