Oh, here we go.  Watering down the X11 coverage even more ;)

You are correct, though.  The font server seemed like a good idea at the time
and then Moore's Law took over and they pulled it onto the client.  

I've dropped it to "awareness of" for that reason.  It hasn't been covered in
any significant depth for a while and this more accurately reflects the
current coverage.
