Hi All, I completed my LPIC1 in May 2012. I am currently preparing for my LPIC2 exams. I saw the below notification on LPI website regarding proposed changes:
http://wiki.lpi.org/wiki/LPIC2AndLPIC3ChangeProposalVersion3To4 As my ultimate aim is to do the LPIC - HA/Virt (LPIC 304), it makes more sense for me to write my LPIC2 exams under the new proposed scheme. My questions are: 1) The notification says "Commence reassessment of LPIC-2 objectives as described above with a target release of Spring 2013 for new exams", is spring 2013 proposed release date of only the new objectives or the new exams also? If it is only new objectives, then when can we expect the new exams to be released? 2) Will the LPIC1 which I obtained in May 2012 remain valid as a requirement for LPIC2 under new scheme also? Logically it should, but want to be sure, because if it will not, then I will write my LPIC2 and LPIC 301 exams straight away to avoid writing LPIC1 again.
