If we go for the common denominator than wireless connections have to go. Many
systems are connected via UTP and will be in the future.

To what extend do we expect system administrators to be network administrators?
Imho networking is along the line of databases.
A system admin should be able to create a database, load a config sql file,
assign a database user who will do the maintenance of the database.

If we would follow the same line with networking one needs to be able to config
a system for either a static ip address or for DHCP when the OS is installed.
Some basic troubleshooting skills on connectivity issues are also important.
And ‘restarting’ the network is probably part of the troubleshooting as well.

Which commands are needed for the distributions that are covered by LPI?
