I've been reading the LPRng mailing lists for a couple of months and
a lot of HOWTOs and other documentation but without succeeding in a
good installation of the Tektronix Phaser 560.
I've a SPARCstation 20 with Solaris 2.7 as a print server running
latest versions of LPRng and ifhp. I've managed to use the standard
LPR protocol but not the Appsocket protocol.
The latest error messages is that the connection is refused on the printer.
I would like to hear from users of LPRng/ifhp and Tektronix Phaser
560 who has succeeded in the installation.
We also experience problems with users printing from Microsoft Word
with different kind of images inside their documents. These problems
most often occurs on the Tektronix printer.
We would also like the Unix users to be able to use the -Z option for
selecting trays, selecting different printer resolutions and to set
the option QuickCollate on or off.
Please give me some advice and I'll follow up next week.
