Hello all,
I have the following global printcap section which is included with all
entries:
---
:sd=/var/spool/printers/%P
:mx#0
:rw
:ab
:lf=log:af=acct
:bp=/usr/libexec/filters/print_banner
:incoming_control_filter=/usr/libexec/filters/update_z
:of=/usr/libexec/filters/ifhp
:filter=/usr/libexec/filters/ifhp
---
There are two printers, a HP with socket interface and QMS MagiColor, for
which I use appsocket. Defined as follows (plug include, and some
irrelevant stuff):
:cm=Color Laserjet 8500 DN
:lp=hpprinter%9100
:ifhp=model=hp8500
:cm=QMS MagiColor 2
:lp=/dev/null
:ifhp=model=qms1725,dev=qmsprinter%35
Now, if I print something with lpr -Ztransparency, the banner page goes to
paper on HP (as it should) but on transparency on QMS (bad). Of course,
QMS also supports paper.
What's the deal?
