Hmmm... I am staring at the Deskjet 1600 here and it is sneering back at me. I know that this is not really helpful, but I am not having any problems here. 1. Get into JetDirect (blahhh) and reset card to factory settings. Set IP address, etc. Turn off everything except TCP/IP If you can find the Time Out value, set it as large as possible. 2. save settings, and then POWER CYCLE THE PRINTER 3. Go to the control panel and check out the settings and find the 'timeout' value and set very large - 5 minutes. Now try again. Good Luck.
