Hello,
I am using linux with NIS+ and I would like to use lprng as the default printing system, but I have run into some problems with NIS+. Specifically, lprng doesn't work when I get the group information from NIS+. When I omit the nisplus entry from the group item in nsswitch.conf, it appears to work fine: group: compat but when I add the nisplus entry to nsswitch.conf, it seems to break LPRng: group: compat nisplus I am using: lprng 3.8.12 ifhp 3.5.8 kernel 2.4.18 nis-utils 1.4.1 Does anybody have any ideas about what the problem might be? -- David Ginsberg Systems Administrator Department of Electrical Engineering University of California, Riverside ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- YOU MUST BE A LIST MEMBER IN ORDER TO POST TO THE LPRNG MAILING LIST The address you post from MUST be your subscription address If you need help, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] (or lprng-requests or lprng-digest-requests) with the word 'help' in the body.
