Sorry, the info I wrote yesterday wasn't very precise.

so here I go again:

1) sending the whole file (17 pages, generated from latex and dvips)
to a HP LaserJet 4050 works ok.
to a HP Color LaserJet 4550 N stops after page 12 with following error:

# lpq -Phpclj304
Printer: hpclj304@diablo
Queue: no printable jobs in queue
 Server: no server active
Status: keeping error job 'ems@bingo+795' at 13:03:31.178
Filter_status: Error: MemoryFull; OffendingCommand: clip at
13:03:31.136
Rank Owner/ID Class Job Files Size
Time
error ems@bingo+795 A 795 ERROR: job removal requested

2) sending pages 13-17 ("wild" graphics on page 13, but there are also
some graphics on pages 1-12!):
to a HP LaserJet 4050 works ok.
to a HP Color LaserJet 4550 N stops with same error as on case (1).

3) sending pages 14-17:
to a HP Color LaserJet 4550 N works ok.

4) sending only page 13:
to a HP Color LaserJet 4550 N doesn't print any output with same error
as on case (1).

So, what's on page 13?
Lots of graphics, the last one on the bottom of the page ending after
the A4 page bottom bound.
What's happening here? Why does one printer print and the other one
doesn't? ifhp?
Does someone want to "test" this 13th page?

I tried saving only page 13 to a file and sending from the command line.
Nothing! Same error on HP Color LaserJet 4550 N.

Thanks, Richard
