Now I'm starting to wonder why mine won't work without appsocket. 
Yet another mystery to investigate....

I think force_localhost is default, but only applicable when you are using
rm/rp for forwarding jobs directly to the LPD on the printer. (We turn off LPD
on the printers and use the JD port only.)
