I tried that, but it doesn't have any effect. IIRC the nopoll patch applied to
Do_waitend, which for some reason wasn't/isn't being called even though I have
waitend enabled. I'm leaving this mystery alone (among others) for now -- 
I'll stick with pagecount_poll unless something goes horribly wrong.

Hmm. Not bad, and altogether the safest way to handle accounting. (And the
pause will be a minor deterrent for people printing lots of things... ;-))
The current delay is tolerable, but not optimal.
