A little off-topic, but...

I was able to install LPRng here recently because we needed something new
ASAP. Now, we're undertaking a proper look at alternatives. We may stay
with LPRng, but I need to justify that to management. The open source
stuff is relatively easy to find and examine. I'm looking for commercial
options.

This is a university environment, so we really need a quota system (and
all the baggage that comes along with that, like authentication and
billing for additional pages). Some ability to export data (for billing,
reports, etc.) is also pretty important. It MUST work on Windows and
MacOS X, and it'd sure be nice if it worked on Linux and/or Solaris.

Pharos seems to be the 800-pound gorilla in this market. The few other
commercial solutions that I've seen seem to be Windows-only. What else is
out there?

I'll gladly summarize and post if people reply directly to me.
