Brian,

Yes,  the 8139too is the correct driver, but the 2.4.5 linux kernel has 
a problem with 8139's.

But, you are in luck.  I now have the 2.4.9 kernel with the NFS root 
patch, and it works just
fine with the 8139 cards.

I'll have it on the download page later tonight.
