Did it like that: start ws in console mode,
ldd `which xf86config` , mount the nessessary
directories from the server (temporarily changed /etc/exports there) via
mount -t nfs -o nolock <server>:/... /...
telnet to server, copy generated XF86Config-file to
XF86Config.<ws-hostname>
