Please excuse me for clobbering the list with my confused messages! As
I said, I messed up quite a bit before I somehow got it working. I
have since tried to redo it the proper way, and thereby understood
that the above message was seriously confused.
I didn't succeed in installing with the debs though, so I used the
tarballs instead, with no problems.
