Hi.

I'm having huge hassles getting old isa ne2k ethernet cards to work with
ltsp3.0, and I've got lots of them in workstations.

Basically, if in dhcp, I set the following:
option-129 "NIC=ne",
then on boot the workstation complains (correctly) after loading 8390.o,
stating that there is no IO=0x???, which is required by the module.

HOWEVER, when I change the dhcp to the following:
option-129 "NIC=ne IO=0x300",
on boot the workstation complains again, this time stating that the
ethernet card could not be automatically probed (This is the same message
that you get if you don't put the option-129 entry in into dhcp in the
first place!)

It seems that adding the 'IO=' section to the kernel command line makes
the original 'NIC=ne' section unrecognisable!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

TIA

Larry
