Larry,
Do you have the 'option-128' entry still there ?
It isn't clear from your message, but i'm assuming
that you do, because you are at least getting the
8390.o module loading when you only specify NIC=ne
Are you sure the IO address is 0x300 ? The card can
be set at any one of several addresses. I've got a
workstation on my network using an NE2000 card, and here
is what I have:
option option-128 e4:45:74:68:00:00;
option option-129 "NIC=ne IO=0x340";
So, Double check your settings on the card and in
the dhcpd.conf file. Maybe you'll spot it.
