how can this work ?
the Terminal sees

/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/100dpi-> /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/100dpi

i did not try it yet, but I cant beleve that it works.
The other way round makes more sense to me:
put all fonts into

/opt/ltsp/i386/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/

and make a link /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts pointing to it.
(both on the server)
