dear all,
I use ltsp3.0. I've set up all the necessasy configuration files needed based on the documentation provided.
I used a floppy disk to try it out. I loaded the file eb-5.0.5-3c509.lzdsk to the disk. On my 486 box. There's only a floppy drive connected. (I disconnected the cables from the board to the harddisk) and configure the BIOS accordingly.
I used a BNC cable and an old 3C509 card.
I started the server, turned on the workstation but what i got was only a message saying:
Invalid system disk
Replace the disk, and press any key when ready..
I suspected that the cable was the trouble. Since the card is an old 3COM card, there's no led indicating that it worked properly. BUt the card was O.K. How can I test the connector of the cable?
I used a 8-port minihub. And the BNC-led didn't turn on when I started the workstation.
Or was it anything else?
I really need help.
thanks,
