DONE!
and added the two packages ltsp_x_core and ltsp_x_fonts (the only
difference so far).

Same status:
Hangs with the line:

Mounting root file system: /tftpboot/ltsp/i386 from: 192.168.251.254

Some improovements though:
1. I have removed in /etc/fstab a line from a remote server to mount
localy on the server. This remote site does not exist at the moment.
2. restarting portmapper and nfs results in a new empty line after
Mounting root ....
3. now I also get a log entry (which I cannot solve):

Oct 3 14:50:46 ronald rpc.mountd: authenticated mount request from
192.168.251.20:689 for /tftpboot/ltsp/i386 (/tftpboot/ltsp/i386)

192.168.251.20:689 for /tftpboot/ltsp/i386 (/tftpboot/ltsp/i386)
Oct 3 14:51:27 ronald last message repeated 7 times
Oct 3 14:52:31 ronald last message repeated 13 times

What is the next suggestion to check / look after ???

bye
