Hi all,

well I resurected my MDK 8.2 Install here is what I found:

under /etc/rc.d/init.d/xfs

there needs to be some changes made.

Under the option start it has a -1 for a port take that option out, or
replace the -1 with a 7100 (or any other port you may wish to use).

In order for local X to still work you need to change the FontPath
setting in your XF86Config (or XF86Config-4) file from a -1 to the port
you specified in the startupscript. (I think you need to change the unix
to TCP or UDP, not sure here try man XF86Config or do a search on
google).

under /etc/X11/fs/config

you may need to change some options about the maximum clients and the
clone funtion (should be described).

Also a man xfs gives a little info.

Mandrake has the xfs obtion hard coded into their startupscript that is
why there are no options in the config file.

Hope this will help

Patrick
