Hallo Gerhard,

GD> My today's problem:
GD> I tried to set up another 5 year old machine for ltsp (cyrix 166 with 32 MB,
GD> 3dfx pci graphics, tulip pci-network adaper) which was running fine with
GD> Windows 98 before. Before reaching runlevel 3 or 5, the machine rebooted.
GD> Dhcp was ok, the dots were running and I could just read the beginning of
GD> the line RAMDISK... (bla bla bla), then black, and then the machine
GD> rebooted. In /var/log/messages I could find dhcp-discover (ok) and tftp (ok)

Problem could be that the RAM size is not detected correctly. Try
passing an appropriate kernel parameter (option-129 with
mem=32768k)...

Gru,
