Hi, I have used LTSP for a year. It works very well! My 12 workstations are booting via a floppy disk.
Now I don't want to use these boot floppies anymore! I'd like WS to boot from the local HD cause I have 10 Go per WS. I don't wan't (can't) use NIC EEPROM. I don't know the "magic" needed in order to install the right boot code say on a dedicated /boot partition at the beginning of the HD (ala lilo!). I guess I cannot simply dd the floppy contents on this /boot partition !!! Then say lilo to update the MBR !?!? Any hint, idea or solution ? Thanks in advance. frc -- Franois Mauger Laboratoire de Physique Corpusculaire de Caen et Universit de Caen ENSICAEN/ISMRA - 6, Boulevard du Marechal Juin, 14050 CAEN Cedex, FRANCE e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] tel.: (0/+33) 2 31 45 25 12 ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.NET email is sponsored by: SourceForge Enterprise Edition + IBM + LinuxWorld = Something 2 See! http://www.vasoftware.com _____________________________________________________________________ Ltsp-discuss mailing list.
