with that RAM it will surelly ask for USE_NFS_SWAP = y
making the ws quite slow, an upgrade to 32 RAM would
help a lot, else a minimum of 16 yould allow
USE_NFS_SWAP = n

there are tons of light managers like icewm, qvwm,
just today I recieved an announcement from xpde.com
about their latest release, it is very light so it
would be good to see how stable it has become 8)

you can boot from floppy, cdrom, flash disk via ide
adapter, hard disk, eprom nic, pxe nic and more
creative ways I am sure, I use eprom because its very
easy and trouble free once its set up
