Hi all,

I've got an opportunity to buy a second hand Compaq Proliant
5500 server. It has dual PIII XEON/500MHz processors, 1.2
Gb RAM, 3x18 Gb HDUs and a SCSI Ultra Wide 2. Yet, it
"only" costs about US$1500.00

IMHO that would be a great replacement for my current LTSP
server. I wonder however if Linux can currently handle all
the goodies which are inside that box. Especially the dual
processors and the chipsets on the motherboard.

Opinions anyone ?
