I am currently working on building an LTSP4 based system for the National Library of Wales, http://www.llgc.org.uk. These terminals will be for the public to use to browse our web-based catalogue and surf the internet.
I am attempting to get Mozilla Firebird to run localy on our thin client but I am as yet unsucessful. I have followed the instructions on the site (http://www.ltsp.org/ltsp-4.html), but have hit a dead end.
As far as I can see from the configuration files, Local Apps are enabled and all the necessary libraries and binaries have been copied to the appropriate directories. Yet it continues to give errors when trying to connect to the X-server.
Has anyone else had greater success in getting LTSP4 to run local applications? I could use some help :)
TIA
