Ok, this is either your workstation not being listed in the /etc/hosts file, or you need to edit /etc/X11/xdm/Xaccess, and make sure there is a line in that file that contains only a '*' as the first character on the line. If you are still having trouble, then you'll need to provide more details, such as which display manager you are running (XDM,GDM,KDM).
