How about you tell us what you are getting ?

errors, gray screen, or what ?

have you check the following document ?

I'm going to have to chime up here. I've used this project almost since its inception and I have never found it to be easy to setup/configure/run on anything except for redhat. I've got slackware 10 too and it took me FOREVER to set this up. I just purchased the HP t5500 and followed all the docs and I've still got flukes like sound playing on the server and other stupid crap like that. Meanwhile, I diskless/netbooted the same client from an OpenBSD box in about an hour. OpenBSD JUST came out with this pxe booting btw. It's not even designed to do the things you guy are doing and it still does them better.

Anyhow, as far as your problem goes... are you seeing that the xdmcp is installed but not running? I had the same problem and I had to use gdm. You'll have to edit the /etc/X11/gdm/gdm.conf file... search for [xdmcp] and then there should be a line below it that says Enable=false. Set that line to be Enable=true. Then as root type in gdm. reboot the thin station and hope for better things from the guys at LTSP. Brandon
