I've tried all of this... and I've tried each display manager... although when I run xdm and try netstat -anp | grep ":177 " I get nothing but when I run KDM and try netstat -anp | grep ":177 " I get this udp 0 0 0.0.0.0:177 0.0.0.0:* 1141/kdm
I have set KDM to accept requests and no luck ???
