Like I mentioned before, we're using our thin clients to run a custom web-based (php/MySQL) application. Right now, our LTSP application server and our application are being ran from the same server. In the future, I'd like to split them, but we're on a budget, and we've already spent a good chunk of money so far. SO, for right now, to save on some processing power, I'd like to run Firefox on each of the thin clients, instead of 15 or 20 copies of Firefox running on the server.
Does anyone have a tutorial or some helpful hints on how to get Firefox running as a local application? I've been trying, but I'm running into some problem, and I'm not sure what it is. I think my problem is that SSH isnt able to do password-less login to the thinclient, but I dont know how to test if I've set the public/private keys up properly.
My setup: LTSP-4.1, Slackware 10, Firefox v0.9.3.
Thanks in advance, I certainly appreciate it.
