In an internet cafe where LTSP is installed, I saw that firefox can use up
quite a big amount of RAM.
Personally, I'd allocate 64MB per client in this case. More RAM would be even
better.

I HIGHLY suggest that you procure a server which can accomodate loads of RAM.
This way, if you later found out that you have installed too little amount of
RAM, you can always upgrade it easily.

Except on certain cases - example: on Flash-laden webpages, Firefox can hog
quite a lot of CPU time.
Of course this is not Firefox's fault - IE will behave the same. But the point
is - it CAN hog the CPU.

You'll need to check the output of "top" from time to time, and "renice" them
as necessary.

I've ran quite a few, and it was ok actually.

Important:
You'll need to ensure that the VMware installation is really rock solid.

I've noticed that on certain Linux distros & hardware combination, VMware can
crash without warning. It's just gone from the screen, bringing down the VMs
with it.
While on others (like Suse Enterprise & HP DL servers), you can put tremendous
load on the VMs, and it will handle them gracefully.

Cheers,
Harry
