I am new to the world of diskless w/s and have a query about the required hardware in a cyber cafe.
Senario: 40 PC's and Server
Server has the following: AMD64FX Processor, 2 x 200GB SerialATA HD, 512MB PC400 DDRAM. Is this system strong enough to handle requests from the network for word processing, chat, yahoo, webcams, ect on a continuous basis.
What type of LAN should I use, 100mbps or a 1Gbit LAN?
Any advice for the above areas would be greatly appreciated.
